Description

The 21st Session of the UN Forum on Forests (UNFF21) will convene from 11–15 May 2026 at United Nations Headquarters in New York. As a policy session under ECOSOC, UNFF21 will focus on strengthening global forest governance and accelerating the implementation of forest-related commitments, including the UN Strategic Plan for Forests 2017–2030 and its six Global Forest Goals. Building on the technical outcomes of UNFF20, delegates will engage in policy dialogue, review progress, and consider recommendations on forest management, finance, biodiversity linkages, land degradation, and climate action. The session also aims to improve coherence across international forest initiatives and support countries in advancing sustainable forest management worldwide
