Description
The 64th Sessions of the UNFCCC Subsidiary Bodies (SBI and SBSTA) will take place 8–18 June 2026 in Bonn, Germany. These sessions gather negotiators, technical experts, and national delegates from UNFCCC Parties to advance critical aspects of the climate negotiation process—such as work plans, implementation guidelines, and the integration of scientific advice into policy. As a pivotal preparatory forum ahead of COP and global climate summits, the gatherings enable intersessional dialogue, capacity-building, and refinement of mechanisms under the Paris Agreement. The Subsidiary Bodies play a central role in shaping agenda items that inform future decision-making on mitigation, adaptation, transparency, finance, technology transfer, and capacity-building.
