Description
The 20th International Conference on Community-Based Adaptation to Climate Change (CBA20) will take place 11–14 May 2026 in Manila, Philippines. Hosted by IIED in partnership with Manila Observatory and PACSII, it gathers practitioners, local leaders, policymakers, researchers, and funders to explore locally-led climate adaptation. Under three core themes—urban adaptation, health investment scaling, and integrating indigenous/traditional knowledge with science—participants engage in plenaries, interactive parallel sessions, community visits, and innovation showcases. New features include a “Shark Tank” mentoring pitch and accountability roundtables. Cross-cutting discussions will address finance, gender, decolonisation, and equity. The event emphasizes peer-to-peer learning, lived experience, and strategic partnerships to drive climate-resilient futures.
