The German-American Nature-based Solutions Exchange (GANBASE) is a highly selective, immersive program that bridges the gap between European and American environmental strategies. The June 13–20 tour in Berlin and Leipzig serves as a "living laboratory," where 10 U.S. and 10 German participants engage directly with leading Nature-based Solutions (NbS). Instead of a standard conference, this exchange prioritizes technical excursions, hands-on workshops, and practical activities like community plantings. By examining how Germany integrates NbS into local and national policy, American participants gain actionable insights for their home regions, while German hosts benefit from fresh perspectives on scaling and financing. The program facilitates deep networking to foster long-term international partnerships for a resilient, nature-positive future.
