Description
The Global Nature Positive Summit 2026 brings together leaders from business, finance, science, governance, Indigenous communities and civil society to accelerate global efforts toward halting and reversing nature loss. Held in Kumamoto, Japan, the summit advances implementation of the Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF) by showcasing practical strategies, landscape‑level case studies, and cross‑sector collaborations. Organized by the Nature Positive Initiative with support from IUCN Japan, ICLEI‑Japan, the Government of Japan and Nikkei BP, the summit provides a platform to align metrics, disclosure frameworks, and nature‑positive action. As a key milestone ahead of CBD COP17 in late 2026, the event aims to drive momentum for credible, large‑scale nature‑positive outcomes across sectors.
