Description

The Latin America Climate Summit (LACS) 2026 will take place in Monterrey, Mexico from 2–4 June, bringing together senior leaders from government, business, finance, academia, and civil society to shape the region’s role in the evolving global carbon market. Organized by IETA and co‑hosted with regional partners, the Summit focuses on the shift toward demand‑led carbon markets, highlighting emerging emissions trading systems, carbon taxes, and Article 6 cooperation. Sessions explore nature‑based solutions, JREDD+, digital MRV infrastructure, CORSIA compliance, and the legal and regulatory foundations needed to enable market integrity. With high‑level plenaries and technical discussions, LACS offers practical insights and networking to support credible climate action and sustainable economic growth across Latin America and the Caribbean.
